Dear Dave,

I am writing today to share with you how pleased I am with the service(s) you have provided me and my family for well over a decade.    Starting with my first house on Bailiwick Drive to the home on Thomas Jefferson and now with my beautiful brownstone in Jersey City.   You and your team have always made me feel comfortable I had the most cutting edge technology as well as the service of a real human being backing it up.  That has been most comforting.

When I moved into the brownstone in Jersey City I was unsure if your company would travel this far to do the install.  I was happily surprised to find out that you are not just a “local” company.  The unit that you installed here, a Qolsys IQ panel, allows me to arm and disarm from the keypad or from my smartphone.  We also installed a Z wave door lock that allows me to lock and unlock my door remotely.  So when vendors show up and I’m not home I can unlock and/or lock without having to be present.  This is incredibly convenient.

Shepherd Security Systems has protected our home in Summit, NJ, for more than 22 years.  Dave Shepherd carefully engineered a comprehensive system protecting every window and door throughout our two-story house, and we have always felt safe and secure.  Over time as new needs developed, he installed additional sensors to warn us of basement flooding, and seven years ago he installed a total system upgrade using wireless technology.  Dave has always been very helpful explaining how the equipment works and what alternatives are available to solve security problems.  We have been very happy with his service and would recommend him to new customers without reservation.

We cannot say enough great things about Dave and his attention to detail, workmanship, and ability to determine what we truly needed to protect our assets.  David’s in depth knowledge of all available systems in the marketplace allowed us to effectively choose what is best for our situation and needs.  David’s installation is impeccable and he took great care to work around finished surfaces and left no trace of his work.

The system is very user friendly and intuitive. We are able to arm and disarm the system easily from our phone, which we didn’t think we needed until the first time we were out late and had asked a neighbor go in and feed our dogs… So convenient!
